Language learning tips  and more

I know! It seems easier than it actually is at first.

In most cases, we start learning a language with a textbook in front of us – and that’s totally fine. But in my humble opinion, to really be able to speak a language, you need to use it.

Through gestures, simple questions or repetition of expressions and vocabulary, you can easily overcome that fear and start focusing on making progress and reaching your own goals.

Just like when we were children and repeated what we saw, when starting a new language – or even when trying to improve the one we were taught at school – we should do the same: repeat what we see. Repeat consciously, understanding what we’re learning, and in that way build better comprehension and more effective learning.

Here are some key ideas to help you do just that:

· Talking and asking about everyday situations will allow you to repeat and answer simple questions.

· One-to-one conversations can help you focus your learning – they’re easier and I can guide you with personalised support.

· Making mistakes is part of the process – and knowing that will help you improve.

· And finally, try to understand your fear. Go at your own pace, identify your areas for improvement, and little by little, step out of your comfort zone so you can grow and get better.
